There maybe have been a mixed bag on the weather front at Pearse Stadium in Galway this afternoon, with both strong sunshine and also heavy rain; but despite Laois’s 20-point loss to Galway today, the outlook is bright if the dogged O’Moore’s performance, witnessed by the 2,000 plus crowd is anything to go by.

Both Laois manager Niall Rigney and his Galway counterpart Ger Loughnane have named their sides ahead of this Saturday's All-Ireland Senior Hurling Qualifier at Pearse Stadium, Galway (3.30pm).

Niall Rigney's first game as interim Laois Senior Hurling manager will have an afternoon throw-in after the GAA's Central Competitions Control Committee met this morning at Croke Park to fix the weekend's games.
