Following a misfiring evening against Longford at Pearse Park, Laois forwards Ross Munnelly and MJ Tierney have been dropped by O’Moore’s manager Liam Kearns, for this Saturday’s Round 2 All-Ireland SFC Qualifier against Down at O’Moore Park, Portlaoise.

The GAA have confirmed the fixtures for this weekend's inter-county games, with O'Moore Park set to host a double-header on Saturday evening with Laois facing Down in the All-Ireland SFC Qualifiers at 7pm. That game is preceeded by the All-Ireland Junior Football Championship final between Dublin and Roscommon at 5pm.

The latest results from the past week's club action across Laois, where there was action at Junior and Under 21 Championship levels, and also some league action where on Sunday Ballyfin carved out a 2-7 to 1-7 ACFL Division 3 Final replay victory over Annanough at Bill Delaney Park in Stradbally.
Earlier in the week on Thursday the ACHL Division 2 title went to Camross after they recorded a 1-13 to 1-9 win in a final replay at O'Moore Park.

Laois Senior Footballers have been given a tough assignment against Down in the All-Ireland Round 2 Qualifiers after the O'Moore's were paired with the Mournemen in this evening's draw which took place at Croke Park.
